CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL TRAINER PROGRAMME INFORMATION
The “Certified Professional Trainer” Course (CPT) is a 12-month mentorship programme started in 1999 now with over 1,200 students from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Myanmar, Philippines, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, UAE, Pakistan, Oman, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. The programme has rolled out more than 85 intakes in Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam.
Certified Professional Trainer (CPT) is a dynamic career development programme designed to provide a range of skills needed to become, as the title suggest; a professional trainer. Aside from teaching participants to be great trainers by learning how to conduct training at a high energy level with powerful results; using creative training techniques; it also teaches them the BUSINESS of training.
Hence, it is not typical train-the-trainer course; this is a professional development and mentoring programme. It is designed for intended practitioners only and is meant for people who want to immediately be able to make significant transformations as a trainer. It would also be a very good foundation for anyone who has certain expertise but no prior training experience.

WHAT WILL YOU GET WHEN YOU ENROL
Highly practical and intensive, this Certified Professional Trainer (CPT) programme has three phases;
Phase 1 - The Core Programme: A 4-day programme providing the LATEST skills and techniques towards becoming a certified professional trainer. There will be a range of exercises and practice sessions designed and orchestrated to allow participants to become fully involved and to experiment in a supportive atmosphere with a range of training techniques, which includes super-learning methods and experiential techniques.
Phase 2 - The Business Programme: A 2-day programme teaching the essentials of running a successful training business be it part time or full time. This covers topics on how to brand and “sell” yourself as a Trainer, how to decide your niche area and carve out your Unique Selling Proposition.
Phase 3 - The Mentorship Phase: This part of the programme does not only provide you with guidance but supports real life training to build up your practical experience. Aside from that a mentor will go through your personal marketing plan and suggest changes or approve it so that action can be taken by participants.
There is no one official recognition in the world relating to training. So the question would be; recognized by whom? So far, most countries do not have any official requirements to be designated as a trainer. However CPT has been around for the last 10 years and has developed more than 800 students and would be the largest group of professional trainers in Asia. They carry the designation of Certified Professional Trainers (IPMA – U.K.).
Question 2: How successful are Certified Professional Trainer (CPT) graduates?
We have immensely successful trainers who have achieved recognition in their respective countries as Top Trainers. If success is measured by fees per day; we have trainers earning as high as USD 7,000 a day. As much as 25% of the students would become full time trainers within the one year track, the rest operates as part timers until their personal circumstance allow them to go full time.
Question 3: How do I know if this course is worth my investment?
Whether or not the course is worth the investment highly depends on two (2) factors. First it is the personal goal which defines what you wish to get out of the course. If you would like to have a change in career, this course provides you with the necessary tools and contact to get there. Secondly, it depends on your diligence. The pro-active nature of you will enable you to move forward faster into what you want to do.
Question 4 : Which area(s) of training should I train others in?
This question will be addressed in the class under the area of “Finding your Training Niche” and also through the personal coaching. However a quick answer would be; it depends on three (3) factors; Your Readiness, Your Interest and Marketability of the program.
Question 5: Will I be assured of training assignments from Quest?
This program is started by Quest because we need trainers for our very active training business (in 6 countries). However not all students would have subject matter competencies relevant to the requirement of our clients. Quest provides training in the management area. Hence a CPT student who intends to do parenting training might not be able to get any assignments directly from us. Therefore there is no assurance. However Quest would endeavor to provide all graduates with training opportunities.
Question 6: What will I get at the end of this Certified Professional Trainer course?
